Strategies For Effectively Engaging Students With Campus Tutoring Resources

Friday October 23rd, 2026, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Through Zoom
We as educators know the value of tutoring resources, but how do we effectively communicate this value to students in our courses, so they attend appointments and get the most out of them?

This workshop explores ways to engage students with tutoring services and make it more likely that their appointments are productive and enjoyable. Topics include strategies for effectively incentivizing or requiring appointments and connecting TASC and Math Zone staff to create tutoring plans for students. Presentations will be followed by a workshop session in which attendees share and/or design meaningful assignments to get students more engaged with tutoring services.
